Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M 215.92.46.22.01.001

When OMEGA explores the dark sides of the ocean, they have developed their ceramic expertise to produce the Seamaster Planet Ocean “Deep Black.” This remarkable 45.5 mm watch combines a GMT model with a diving watch. The addition of red represents the first color that is no longer visible at a depth of approximately 5 meters.  

The matte case is made from a single block of ceramic, and for the first time, rubber has been blended with ceramic to create a unique unidirectional bezel. This colorful innovation is visible on the first 15 minutes, while Liquidmetal™ completes the rest of the depth scale. Red rubber injections have also been used to color the OMEGA logo on the crown and the helium escape valve symbol.  

On the black ceramic dial, a GMT ring has been added along with red Arabic numerals, and the hands and indexes are made of 18K white gold with a white Super-LumiNova coating. In another first, OMEGA has created an oriented screw-down case back, ensuring that the engraved text stays neatly in place. This has been achieved through OMEGA’s new and patented ceramic Naiad Lock.  

Other features include a honeycomb pattern on the case back and a black rubber strap with red stitching and antibacterial treatment. The Planet Ocean “Deep Black” is water-resistant up to 60 bar and is powered by the OMEGA Master Chronometer caliber 8906. To achieve Master Chronometer status, it has passed the eight rigorous tests set by METAS (the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology).
